Windows 2008/2003 IE7 nagging “Your current security settings put your computer at risk ” message

I recently installed Windows 2008 server on my laptop . Fully excited to learn the new features I logged in to the machine and started to browse the net with Internet explorer. Then I noticed a nagging “Your current security settings put your computer at risk ” message below the IE address bar. it was so irritating that i stopped browsing with Win2008 server. Another problem I faced is that the IE was displaying  ”Security Settings at risk ” page on IE startup than my predefined homepage ion IE options. I dont understand why microsoft wants to irritate people like this. WHo ever using Windows 2008 server will have a minimum amount of knowledge about security and its only required show them a warning once. Why are they showing this idiotic message everytime ?? And they dont have a button/link to disable this feature which makes us hate the OS/IE the very first time.

After cursing the the MS team. I found a way to disable these irritating  features.

The steps are  as follows:

Start -> Run - Gpedit.msc (MS group policy editor)Navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates ->
Windows Components -> Internet Explorer -> Security Features -> Information Bar. Change “All processes” to “Disable”.
Now go to Start - Run - regedit Navigate to HKLM -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer ->
Main Change the “Security Risk Page” to your home page link.

This error is often seen when you have installed an updated version of software which is not supported by other applications.

The given error means you are using latest version of your browser which cannot support old versions of other softwares.

I prefer to look on the brighter side of things which I’m sure you can appreciate.

When can I expect a new post?

My good friend and I have been fighting concerning a dilemma similar to this! Now I know that I ended up being right. Many thanks for the information you posted.

Hey check out my blog too. I hope i have some fun stuff too

Led flashlights with Xenon or Cree led diodes offer superb brightness to the point where they may possibly even be deemed weapons. The light from high top quality leds can momentarily blind a individual if shown directly in their eyes from only a brief distance. Several of these good quality led lights from producers such as Fenix, Surefire and Streamlight operate for hours with only 1 AA, triple-a or CR123a battery.

I’m still learning from you, but I’m making my way to the top as well. I absolutely enjoy reading everything that is posted on your blog.Keep the posts coming. I enjoyed it!
